Nancy works with the BC Centre of Excellence for Women’s Health and with BC Women’s Hospital on knowledge translation, network development, and research related to improving policy and service provision for women with substance use and addictions. Nancy is well known for her collaborative work on FASD-related research, training and policy initiatives with governments and organizations on local, provincial and national levels. Nancy has co-edited a book with Dr. Lorraine Greaves, entitled Highs and Lows: Canadian Perspectives on Women and Substance Use, published by the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Ontario. She is involved in doctoral studies on virtual knowledge translation on women and substance use issues, holds fellowships with IMPART and NEXUS, and is the 2009 Healthway Health Promotion Visiting Research Fellow sponsored by Curtin University and the Government of Western Australia.
