Dr. Cunningham is a Psychologist at McMaster Children's Hospital and a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences in the Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University's Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine. Dr. Cunningham holds the Jack Laidlaw Chair in Patient-Centred Health Care. Current research is supported by grants from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, and the Provincial Centre of Excellence for Child and Youth Mental Health at CHEO. Dr. Cunningham directs the Patient-Centred Service Research Unit which studies the influence of patient and family preferences on the utilization and outcome of health and mental health services. He brings an interest in the use of quantitative user preference modelling methods (discrete choice conjoint analysis) to the Connections team..
