Dr. Ellen Lipman is a child psychiatrist and is an Associate Professor in the Division of Child Psychiatry, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences, McMaster University. She is a core member of the Offord Centre for Child Studies. Her main research interests are in the areas of disadvantaged children and families, group therapies, community-based interventions, effectiveness studies, child and adolescent psychiatry, and epidemiology. She currently holds research grants from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. Her clinical work includes consulting to the Child and Youth Mental Health Team, McMaster Children's Hospital Chedoke Site, and to family physicians as part of the Hamilton Family Health Team, Mental Health Program.
