Dr. Schmidt is Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour at McMaster University. Dr. Schmidt is also a Core Member of the Offord Centre for Child Studies, Division of Child Psychiatry, McMaster Children's Hospital, and Associate Member of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences and the McMaster Institute of Neuroscience, Discovery, & Study (MiNDS) Graduate Program at McMaster University. His research interests include the impact of early life events on human brain and affective development in clinical and non-clinical populations, using behavioural, molecular genetic, fMRI, and psychophysiological methods.
